Grew up in and around Ithaca,
New York. First generation in my family to go to college.
Background is rural blue collar agricultural. Baby boomer. Went
to Ithaca High School.
Served in U.S. Navy from 1970
– 1972 as an electronics technician on board the U.S.S
Shreveport (LPD 12). Went to college on GI Bill, scholarships,
and student loans.
